Intolerable hospital patients

Going to the hospital is already a stressful situation, and it can be even worse when you find out that you’ve been exposed to bed bugs there.

A hospital, with the constant movement of patients, employees, staff, and visitors offers many opportunities for the introduction of bed bugs.

The bedbug can live without blood — its food source — for up to 18 months. “Females can lay up to 4 eggs a day in hidden locations; up to 5 to 10 a week and up to 500 in her lifetime,” according to Eisenberg.

Sighting bedbugs in your hospital facility can affect the reputation and defame a brand.

Dealing with a possible bed bug infestation in a healthcare facility is a delicate situation. It must be made clear that a bed bug problem can happen to anyone and anywhere. Also, rectifying the situation is contingent on the cooperation of all parties. Help your employees, patients, and residents feel comforted by the fact that your healthcare facility has a bed bug control plan in place.

Mom says bedbugs found at Hendersonville hospital

HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) – Bedbugs in a hospital room?

One mother, who just had a baby in a Sumner County hospital, said bedbugs bit her 11-year-old daughter in the hospital’s labor and delivery suite.

The mom said the suite had a couch on it and she said that’s where she saw the bedbugs that she said bit her daughter.

Jamie Turner had just given birth to her third child on Oct. 16 at TriStar Hendersonville Hospital. That’s where she said she took a picture of a bedbug crawling on her 11-year-old daughter. She said the girl was sleeping on the couch in the same room where she had just given birth.

“I thought it was very disgusting to see the bugs there, period,” said Turner. “I just had a baby and that’s one of the things you wouldn’t think of to run across, to have bedbugs in the room with a newborn baby.”

You can see bumps in her 11-year-old daughter’s face. There are marks on her arm too.

“She was complaining about itching,” said Turner.

With bed bugs come a multitude of business challenges, including employees and patients returning to their homes with bed bugs, cost of treatment and the impact bed bugs can have on your brand. Although bed bugs don’t transmit diseases to their victims, they can put patients at risk. The presence or even the suspicion of bed bugs can be very stressful. Bed bugs can also leave an itchy welt on their victims, which may become infected and pose a threat to sensitive patients.

How to keep your restaurant rodent-free?

Rats in the restaurant? This is the worst nightmare for any Restaurateur. A report of an infestation in the news is a guarantee of closure and permanent loss of business. Even if you do everything right, such as having a licensed food handler, and have a dedicated staff that follows all the right food handling rules, just one sewer pipe break can cause an uncontrolled rat infestation. Just one rat sighting can seriously damage your restaurant’s business…

Rats do not pay attention to signs and doorways and cleanly mopped floors. Rats come and go according to rat needs.

Rats are notorious for chewing through anything in front of them. They have an excellent sense of smell and are attracted to places where there is food and water readily available, such as a food premise. Rats will easily gnaw through wood, plastic, some metals, and brick walls. Worse still, they have been known to chew through power cables, causing costly repairs and potential fire risks.

Gosport pub and restaurant closed for two days due to mice infestation

THE Cocked Hat in Gosport was closed after customers complained about rodents in the restaurant.

By Richard Lemmer

Monday, 3rd February 2020

The Greene King-owned pub, in Privett Road, was forced to call in a pest control firm on Thursday morning – after several mice had run across customers’ feet in the dining area last week, according to a member of staff.

The member of staff said the pub had a problem with mice over the last two years.

A spokesman from Greene King said: ‘We take our cleanliness and hygiene standards extremely seriously and once we become aware of this issue, we took immediate remedial action. The pests have now been eliminated from the building and the pub has now reopened.

Gosport Borough Council said it had not been contacted about the situation and that the pub had closed under its own volition, and not due to any order.

Customer complaint about rodents closes restaurant

Oxford City Council environmental health officers forced an Oxford restaurant to close after mouse droppings and flies were found in food service areas.

Following a customer complaint about My Sichuan, The Old School, Gloucester Green, officers from the Business Regulation team called to investigate on Monday 2 September. They found widespread evidence of active mouse infestation and heavy fly activity in the premises, which posed a significant risk of food contamination. A hygiene emergency prohibition notice was issued requiring immediate closure of the restaurant.

Following a hearing at Oxford Magistrates Court on Friday 6 September the court issued a formal closure order. The restaurant’s management was represented in court.

All of a sudden, a shut-down notice hampers your restaurant’s growth and also the reputation within a county gets lowered. This is all because of the tiny pests called RODENTS.

For maintaining the hygiene and safety at your restaurant against the pesky restaurants we can help you by providing you with an eco-friendly solution which is RodrepelTM and CombirepelTM.

RodrepelTM and CombirepelTM are manufactured by C Tech Corporation using green technology. The restaurants can be well protected by using our product RodrepelTM and CombirepelTM. As stated earlier the product is a green technology product that does not kill the rodent but only repels thus maintaining the ecological balance of the earth.

Our product is available in four forms viz. Masterbatch, Liquid Concentrate, lacquer, and wood polish additive.

RodrepelTM and CombirepelTM masterbatches can be incorporated in the polymer-based applications while processing them. The polymer applications like wires, cables, pipes, polymer made kitchen equipment, etc. can be manufactured by using our masterbatch.

The liquid concentrate can be mixed in paints in proper proportion and cover the entire area of infestation by paints. The lacquer form can be directly used as a top coating over the application. The wood polish additive is also a topical application that can be mixed in the wood polish and applied on wooden surfaces.

Our newly developed product is in the form of a spray, called RodrepelTM rodent repellent spray which is an easy to use product. The spray can be sprayed on infested areas and equipment that need protection from rodents.

Our product solutions do not interfere with the properties of the application and in plus point provides complete protection against the harmful pest like rats and mice.
